Russian Official Praises Hungary's Orbán Cabinet

Lyubov Siselina, head of the academy’s Europe Institute, said Russia sees Hungary as a partner with which it can co-operate against “the harmful developments of globalisation and the unipolar world order”.
Regarding US allegations of corruption among Hungarian officials, Siselina said “I saw a conversation with André Goodfriend on Hungarian television. Seriously, it is a good topic for humorists; how can one talk for 30 minutes without saying anything? If they have evidence, let them come forward.”
Asked whether US actions could have an effect on Hungarian-Russian relations, Siselina replied “they can in a good sense. Sympathy for Hungarians has risen perceptibly in Russia . . . We appreciate that the Hungarian government has from the start criticised the sanctions imposed on Russia.”
