A record number of 114,000 people have gone to see the large-scale exhibition on Egypt and the pharaohs in Szeged’s Ferenc Móra Museum in southern Hungary, the museum’s press officer said.
The exhibition that closed on Dec. 30 presented Egypt of the pharaohs at three venues, Konstantin Medgyesi said.
Visitors could learn about the cult, religious belief and day-today life of Egyptian rulers, explore mummification, mysteries of embalming, secrets of Egyptian medicine and writing in the Black House, among other highlights.
Medgyesi noted that no other museum in Hungary outside Budapest had seen such a record number of visitors before.
