Szijjártó, Lavrov Discuss Plans For Putin’s Visit To Budapest
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Hungarian counterpart Péter Szijjártó have discussed preparations for the Russian president’s upcoming visit to Budapest over the phone, the Russian foreign ministry said.

The ministers discussed topical issues of bilateral relations and international affairs in the light of Vladimir Putin’s official visit scheduled for February 17.

This will be the third time for a Russian president to pay an official visit to Hungary. Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán visited Russia in January 2014.

During the visit, Hungary signed an agreement with Russia on the upgrade of its sole nuclear power plant at Paks.
