Announcement Of Disposal Of U.S. Government Property in Budapest
The American Embassy, Budapest, Hungary is offering for sale numerous office furniture (office desks and chairs, visitor chairs, conference tables, filing cabinets, shelves, lamps), IT and telecommunication equipment, kitchen appliances and gym recreation equipment.

The sale is open auction, and will be held at General Services Offices (Budapest XIII., Apály utca 3.). Sale items may be viewed at the sale site on April 29th (Wednesday) from 0800 to 0930. Auction starts right after the viewing hours.

The conditions for participation in the sale are listed below under "Conditions of Sale."

Items must be paid for (in cash) at the sale site and removed by 1700 (end of working day) on the same day.

Conditions of sale

1. The sale is by open auction in Hungarian Forints.

2. The U.S. Government provides no warranty or guarantee for the merchandise and is not responsible for any repairs at the time of the sale or thereafter. Goods will be sold on "AS-IS/WHERE-IS" basis.

3. Items purchased are not intended for resale.

4. Any taxes or customs payable is the responsibility of the purchaser.

5. It’s obligatory for all winners to pay their bids at the cashier on the sale day. If not, customer will be barred from participating in future auctions. Shipment of purchased lots is at the expense and risk of the buyer, who is also responsible for the transportation of the purchased item. Payment must be made in cash and items must be removed from the site of sale by the end of the auction on the same day.

6. Ownership transfers to the buyer only upon payment in full. Each buyer is personally liable for his own purchases; he cannot claim to act for the account of a third person.

7. The U.S. Government retains the right to withdraw items from the sale.

8. The auctioneer is authorized to put up an item for auction again, if necessary, to resolve disputes. The numerical order of the list of items is strictly observed.

9. The only legally valid text of the "Conditions of Sale" is the English version.
