Highest Heat Alert Ordered In Hungary

Hungary’s chief medical officer is ordering the highest hot weather alert from midnight Saturday until midnight Wednesday, as conditions are expected to become even hotter from Sunday. Such third-degree heat alerts are ordered if the daily mean temperature is expected to reach or exceed 27C on at least three consecutive days. Daytime temperatures could reach 36C on Monday, rising to 38C next Wednesday.
