Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has appointed former Florida congressman Connie Mack to lobby for Hungary in Washington. Companies owned by the Republican politician turned lobbyist and the Fidesz-linked Századvég were given a Ft 1.4 billion government contract last year to lobby for Hungarian interests in the US for four years. Mack will serve as a “communication channel” between American media and politicians and Hungary so that the former can better understand Hungary.
