Migrant Detained In Hungary For Alleged Role In Clashes Found In Possession Of Nine Passports
A Syrian man in preliminary detention for his alleged role in clashes between migrants and police last week was found in possession of a total of nine passports, eight of which were issued to people other than himself, Hungary’s national police said. Earlier, the daily Népszabadság reported that the 39-year-old Syrian man known as Ahmed H had a total of seven passports.

Police said the suspect held a valid Schengen visa, adding that they do not suspect that the other eight passports are fake.

The national police headquarters said on its website on Tuesday that according to international information the Syrian national is also a member in an Islamic fundamentalist movement called Tablighi Jamaat that is also used as a front for terrorist organisations sending radicals to target countries.

He holds a work permit in Cyprus.
