Telefonkönyv Magyaroszág Receives HUF 4.75 mln Fine

Hungaryʼs Competition Office (GVH) fined Telefonkönyv Magyaroszág, Hungary’s phone number register organizer, HUF 4.75 mln on charges of misleading advertising, GVH announced today.
According to GVH, the firm sent potential clients advertising brochures that could have been easily mistaken for payment bills in the period of March 2013 - March 2015.
GVH further added that the company made no effort to inform potential clients that what they had received were not in fact bills.
Beyond fining the company, the competition office also banned Telefonkönyv Magyaroszág from continuing such advertising practices.
