Hungary Applies To Host World Food Programme Service Centre
Hungary is applying to put a World Food Programme service centre in Budapest. A government resolution clearing the application for the centre was published in the latest issue of the official gazette Magyar Közlöny.

The application will be submitted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade by February 15.

If the application is successful, the economy minister will organise the necessary fiscal support for the centre’s operation from 2017.

The World Food Programme is the food assistance branch of the United Nations and the world’s largest humanitarian organization addressing hunger and promoting food security
