9 Great Events Wine Lovers Should Visit This Year In Hungary
Hungary is most renowned for it's Tokaji aszú wine, but as the wine industry of the region probably dates back to the Celts and the country has 22 wine regions, the selection of Hungarian wines is definitely worth a thorough exploration! Here we have a great list of wine events of 2016.

Budapest

VinCE Budapest Wine Show, 3 - 5 March
As the name suggests, the 3-day event showcases the wines of Central Europe. 160 exhibitors from Hungary and the neighbouring countries will take part in the exhibition, where wines out of the region can also be tasted. Tastings and workshops guarantee that wine lovers can sip both wine and knowledge!

Tokaji March – The Great Tokaj Wine Tasting, 19 March, Budapest
Tokaj is the internationally most well-known Hungarian wine region and also one of the most popular wine regions of the country. The main goal of the event is to draw the attention of the widest possible audience to Tokaj wine region and its surroundings as a whole. Part of the series of events is premium thematic wine tasting, which will be held on 19 March.

Rosalia Festival, 6 - 8 May, Budapest
Event dedicated to rosé wines, Rosalia Festival already has become a tradition. During this event thousands of people meet in May in Gesztenyés kert of Budapest's District 12 to welcome the upcoming summer with a few glasses of rosé or/and sparkling wine.

Budapest Wine Festival, 8 - 11 September
Every September tens of thousands of people visit Buda Castle to celebrate wine at Hungary's greatest wine festival. In the unique setting hundreds of exhibitors showcase their wines from all around Hungary and even from a few foreign countries. Even if you are not the wine expert, the ambience and the programs guarantee an unforgettable time spent in Budapest!

12th Wine Festival in Szeged, 13 - 22 May
Hungarian winemakers present their best products at Széchenyi tér in Szeged, Southern Hungary. Gastro Courtyard at Klauzál tér offers fine wines and food, while at Dóm tér we can participate at great concerts entertaining the public.

Wine & Jazz Festival in Debrecen, 4 - 7 August

Sports fans and wine lovers alert: VinCE Balaton and Blue Ribbon sailing competiton at Lake Balaton Balatonfüred offer a memorable summer weekend.
