Vona Denies Russian Financial Support
Jobbik president Gábor Vona firmly denied in an interview with Magyar Idõk that his party has ever received or would accept financial support from Russia. “I would not accept any foreign funds. By the way, while we are at it, I would support the idea of examining the foreign funding of all the parliamentary parties,” he declared.

Speaking about the MNB finances, Vona said “there is nothing wrong in itself that its leader György Matolcsy thinks in terms of alternative economic formulas . . . Only this is something different, that the central bank spends public money and Fidesz wanted to make such spending secret”.

He continued: “national wealth is not a toy; it must be accounted for, and no properties, paintings or courses may be bought or organised from such funds”.
