Introducing Gancia - The First Italian Sparkling Wine
The Gancia Company was founded in 1850 in Canelli, Piemonte (Italy) by Carlo Gancia who produced the very first Italian Sparkling Wine.

The Historical Cellars of the House of Gancia are named Underground Cathedrals for their unique architecture. These cellars, thanks to their beauty and importance, have been chosen by Unesco to be included in their list of World Heritage sites, as a part and within the project of Southern Piemonte.

The Underground Cathedrals of the House of Gancia represent an historical, priceless heritage of a style of oenological architecture: were dug out of tufa soil, a natural thermal insulating material, perfect for maintaining a steady temperature of 12-14°C and perfect for processing and ageing great wines.

Gancia Prosecco DOC is a selection of the best Glera grapes, from the Veneto region and long tradition combine to create an elegant and pleasant sparkling wine. It’s perfect as aperitif and versatile also with light food as pasta, rice, light cheese and sea food. The taste is fresh, pleasant, smooth and well balance; persistent with a fruity finish.
