Although it was not explicitly communicated, the application will compete with Uber, Népszabadság points out.

The application shows the location of free taxis close to the user and with the touch of an icon offers further information about the car. Drivers can be evaluated by passengers.

The application also gives a preliminary estimate of the fare, CEO of Budapest Taxi, Csaba Horváth and chairman of City Taxi, Miklós Tamás, underlined.

In contrast with Uber, it is not the taxi company which charges the fare to a user’s account but the user that launches the fare transfer.
