Ganges-Danube Cultural Festival In Hungary, 17 - 19 June
In honour of the World Day of Yoga the Indian Embassy in Hungary organizes this special series of events to highlight the importance of healthy living through the ancient and traditional art of yoga. The programmes include dance and music performances, a film screening, an Indian martial arts show and gastronomy related events, and of course visitors can enjoy several yoga classes.

The International World Day of Yoga was the idea of Narendra Modi, PM of India, who suggested it at a meeting of the United Nations back in 2014. Naturally Hungarian artists will participate in this local programmes too.

Also event visitors will have the opportunity to stop by a henna artist, a puppeteer from Rajasthan and a bracelet creator, as well.

The programmes are mainly free to attend, to watch the film screenings though discounted tickets shall be purchased. Also, the organizers ask the visitors to bring their matrasses to the yoga classes.

Locations where the festival will be held includes Budapest, Balatonfüred, Debrecen, Eger, Esztergom, Nagykanizsa, Sopron, Szeged and Szentendre this year.
