Austria Border Checks Cause Tailback At Hungarian Border
Motorists on their way to Austria have formed a 7.5km tailback at the Hegyeshalom border crossing due to ad-hoc checks by Austrian authorities, a spokesman for the county police headquarters said Sunday afternoon. The waiting time for cars and buses is around two hours, Tamás Füves told MTI.

The tailback on the Austrian side of the border is 2.5km long, he added.

Police have advised car drivers to choose either the Rajka, Vámosszabadi or Sopron border crossing points instead of the Hegyeshalom one and to check the police’s website police.hu for information on current waiting times.
