- 6 Feb 2017 7:00 AM
An expert in baroque music, Europa Galante will perform Piramo e Tisbe by Hasse, one of the most significant theatrical works of the pre-Mozart decades of the 18th century, in the company of soloists well versed in the music of the era and conducted by the outstanding Fabio Biondi.
Passionate German soprano Simone Kermes will bring an exclusive selection, including works by Vivaldi, Gasparini, Giacomelli and Hasse, among others.
Bach Consort Wien will perform a true concert-hall rarity by putting on the greatest undertaking in Monteverdi’s oeuvre, the sacred music anthology of 40 works under the name Selva morale e spirituale.
The performance will feature top-tier soloists as directed by artistic director Rubén Dubrovsky. The performance of Rameau’s Naïs in a concert setting, conducted by György Vashegyi, is also set to be an unforgettable experience.
