Hungary’s Proposals On Handling Migration Gain Support In EU

The Hungarian government’s pragmatic and practical solutions to handling the migration crisis have gained popularity in the European Union, government spokesman Zoltán Kovács said. Nine of the Hungarian government’s ten proposals have been either introduced already, are planned to be introduced or are being considered, he told public Kossuth Radio.
Tens or hundreds of thousands of migrants are on their way towards the EU and millions are ready to take off, he added.
He told public news channel M1 that by amending the law to enable the detention of asylum seekers while their request is being assessed, the government wants to prevent migrants from abusing the possibility of “basically moving around freely” in the EU once their request is submitted.
