Hanami, The Feast Of Blooming Cherry Blossoms At Rickshaw Restaurant
- 6 Apr 2017 8:00 AM
Hanami’s roots are grounded in the 8th century and the word literally means flower watching. The period between late March and early May is the season of picnics, when those, who wish to admire the blooming of cherry and plum trees spend their lunch or dinner in the nature. Initially, hanami was about the meditative contemplation of the beautiful trees, however, by now, it has become a one-month festival across Japan.
At Rickshaw, we commemorate this tradition, where for several days, our guests may have their authentic dishes while listening to koto music and feasting their eyes on kimono exhibition, authentic images and masks in the light of beautiful lanterns.
