Permanent Capa Exhibition To Open In Budapest
The world’s only permanent exhibition featuring the images of Robert Capa (1913-1954), the internationally renowned Hungarian-born war photographer and photojournalist, will open in Budapest’s Capa Centre in October 2018, the state secretary for culture said.

The government will co-finance the renovation and enlargement of the centre with half a billion forints (EUR 1.64m), Péter Hoppál told a press conference, marking the Day of Hungarian Photography.

The exhibition, to present 937 images of the Master’s Set III purchased from the New York-based International Center of Photography in 2008 as well as 48 vintage copies, will open on October 22, 2018, Capa’s 105th birth anniversary, he said.
