More Safe Spaces For Homeless Around Hungary
The homeless care network has made preparations for extending aid in the cold weather forecast for the remainder of February, as homeless people are expected at 11,000 places nationwide in the winter period, the Human Resources Ministry said on Tuesday.

Night shelters have been filled to 84% capacity across the country so far this year.

The 9,600 places available for the homeless throughout Hungary have been increased by 1,500 places.

The cabinet is providing Ft 360 million for extra costs during the crisis period, with a further Ft 50 million set aside to cope with the possibility of rising costs due to the extreme cold weather.
