About IWC

The International Women’s Club Budapest is a non-profit, charitable organization founded in 1981 by a group of enterprising women from the international and diplomatic communities in Budapest.  It is a truly international club representing over 115 members from more than 40 countries.

Our members are from all around the world. We had women from America, Argentina, Armenia, Austria, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Brazil, Britain, Canada, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Finland, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Peru, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine and Venezuela!

The club is non-political and non-religious. We are  also part of the  “Open Door to Association of International Women” (www.opendoorworldwide.com)  which links 70 International Women’s Associations in 37 countries.

The club provides opportunities for women in the international community of Budapest to meet and engage in humanitarian work, social activities, and cultural programs. We also cooperate with other organizations to help you connect with women of similar goals, interests and situations. Through charitable activities we hope to increase our members’ knowledge and understanding of the people and culture of Hungary as well as the culture of fellow IWC ladies.
