Ronaldo Breaks Puskás’s Record
Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo broke Hungarian Ferenc Puskás’s record for the most goals scored in international competition by a European, in a World Cup match against Morocco.

It was Ronaldo’s 85th strike, one more than Puskás’s 84 as a member of the Hungarian national football team in the 1950s.

Puskás achieved his mark in 84 international matches, whereas Ronaldo has played in 152 such games.
