Budapest Chain Bridge To Close For Friday Night

The Chain Bridge will be closed in the early hours of Saturday morning for a load test ahead of its renovation, Budapest transport centre BKK announced Thursday.

No traffic will be allowed between 00.10 and 04.30 hours on Saturday.

The renovation which will start about a year from now, also includes the broadening of the pavement for pedestrians.
