Fully 70% of Hungarians say they are likely to vote in the June European Parliament elections, according to a fresh Eurobarometer survey.
Opposition LMP has called on Gergely Karácsony, Budapest’s incumbent mayor, and Alexandra Szentkirályi, ruling Fidesz’s mayoral candidate, to accept a debate with Dávid Vitézy, the green party’s candidate.
The bureaucrats in Brussels have “switched to turbo mode against Hungary” with a debate on Hungary to be held at next week’s last plenary session ahead of the European parliamentary election, the list leader of the ruling Fidesz-Christian Democrats said.
Everyone must act for change, Péter Magyar said at a demonstration he called in Budapest on Saturday. “We are the nuclear bomb, the Hungarian people,” Magyar said, adding that the solution could not just be expected from him.
