Hungarian Opinion: Leading Pro-Government Daily Calls On Fidesz To Quit EPP
The leading pro-government daily urges Fidesz to leave the European People’s Party, and lead the coalition of anti-immigrant right-wing parties.

In an unsigned editorial, Magyar Nemzet calls on Fidesz to stop bargaining with the European People’s Party, and ally with Matteo Salvini, the Austrian Freedom Party and the Polish Law and Justice Party to ‘defend the Europe of nations and Hungary’.

The leading pro-government daily thinks that if it wants to defend its core values, Fidesz has no choice but to leave the EPP.

Magyar Nemzet accuses the EPP of having abandoned Christian conservative values for what it describes as a liberal ideology which aims at erasing Western national identity as well as traditional gender and family roles.

Magyar Nemzet accuses the EPP of intending to build George Soros’s open society and create a United States of Europe. In light of this, Magyar Nemzet contends that Fidesz must quit the EPP to lead the group of parties that want to defend the Europe of nations and stop mass immigration.
