Mád Night Wine Tasting In Tokaj, 15 June
15 June will be a day with a long night in the village of Mád, music will last till the break of the next day. 9 wine locations will host cultural programs, exhibitions and certainly there will be wines to taste at each place.

The local synagogue will host an exhibition, too. Distances are small, and 9 is a comprehensible number, therefore visitors can literally taste themselves through Mád.

Hugh Johnson’s winery, Royal Tokaji is situated here, and on 15 June they will offer local street food and wonderful music from a duo called Tünde & Pila (Tünde has amazing voice and Pila can play the guitar very well).

And for whom 9 is a small number, there will be some guest wineries as well, for example Árvay Family Winery will present their wines at local Barta Winery, while Sauska will pour its wines at Borbarátnők Boltja (’The Wine Shop of Wine Women’).

This night will be a good occasion to see a new face of Tokaj with many new experiments, exciting wines.

Sauvignon Blanc is the absolute summer wine according to many people, and yes, you can find Sauvignon Blanc in Tokaj –though it cannot be called a wine of Tokaj because the denomination does not allow this variety.

„Pale yellow with green hues. Rich elderflower and tropical aromas in the nose. Crunchy and refreshing in the mouth along with elderberry, a hint of gooseberry and some ginger. Well cooled, it will definitely be a perfect summer wine.”

Find out more about the 9 locations here.
