200+ Skeletons Discovered In Buda
More than 200 skeletons have been found on a corner plot of Rómer Flóris utca and Margit Boulevard, where an office building is under construction.

Gergely László, project manager of the investor Codic Hungary, said the skeletons date from the Turkish era and the 18th century, which is not too surprising, as there is a Franciscan church adjacent.

As the area is an archaeological site, the investor has been working on the excavation with the Budapest History Museum.

The skeletons have been transported to the museum for anthropological research.
