Budapest Drama University Students Won’t Stop Protest Despite Curfew
Protesting students occupying University of Theatre and Motion Picture Arts buildings since September have vowed to maintain a 24-hour presence, despite the midnight to 5 a.m. curfew imposed by the government.

They told the website 24 that students are on night watch at the Vas utca building, while the other buildings nearby on Szentkirályi utca and Rákóczi út are used as temporary accommodation for the few students who stay there at night.

They continued “if any of these buildings were vacated for an hour, under a decree issued by the board of trustees that we do not recognise, staff members could close them, and our classes would be completely finished.”

They stressed that they continue to strictly observe epidemiological regulations.
