Hungarian Footballers Accept Lower Salaries
Players on Hungary’s most popular football team, FTC, have undertaken to take a 20% cut in their salaries, as professional football has come to a halt in the pandemic.

Club president Gábor Kubatov, who is also the Fidesz party director, told state sports channel M4 that the players – with one possible exception – declared full solidarity.

He also said that water polo and handball players will follow suit.
