Szentendre 'Closed' To Tourists

Central Szentendre is closed to tourists and all but local car traffic from Good Friday, the town announced on its website - in connection to current Coronavirus epidemic.

Tourists are asked not to visit the town until the situation turns normal again; that is, not for weeks.

Other tourist destinations, such as Tihany, Hollókő and Tokaj, have also taken steps to restrict visitors, Index reports.

Two bicycle ferries were inaugurated on Tuesday in Tiszaderzs (Northern Great Plain region of central Hungary) at Lake Tisza, the country’s second largest lake.
