Margaret Island Reopened This Weekend
Budapest is making a cautious opening at the weekend: Margaret Island, Hajógyári Island and the City Park will be open, but restrictions remain in force at Normafa in the 12th District.

Mayor Gergely Karácsony warned that there will be large-scale police checks and controls on Margaret Island on the weekend.

Karácsony ordered the island closed for the first time on the Easter weekend after Prime Minister Viktor Orbán announced that mayors could impose special stringent regulations within their municipality.
