'Beach Feeling' Coming To Budapest's Riverside Road At Weekends During Summer
The road along the Pest riverbank will be closed to motorised traffic on weekends until September, Budapest mayor Gergely Karácsony has announced.

Various programs will be offered in this part of the city, when the coronavirus is over, he said in a video talking series called “Restart Budapest” (in Hungarian). 


The embankment “will have a real beach feeling,” he said, adding that the experiment is also a test of a traffic reduction policy.

In addition, Budapest Film wants to create outdoor cinemas in several places around the city, he added.
