Hungarian Audit Office Suspends DK Party Funding
The Hungarian Audit Office (ÁSZ) suspended budgetary funding for the opposition Democratic Coalition (DK) party, citing irregularities uncovered during its review of the party’s finances in 2017-2018.

DK will not receive state funding until it has rectified its finances and proved that they are now in line with regulations, ÁSZ said.

ÁSZ Secretary-General Magdolna Holman told an online press conference that DK’s financial statements do not represent in a “real and credible” manner the party’s income and expenses, she said, adding that the false statements have also misled the party’s membership, Holman said.
