Covid Update: 142,029 Active Cases, 118 New Deaths In Hungary
2,047 new cases were confirmed. The number of people infected with the coronavirus in Hungary now stands at 311,554. The number of deaths stands at 10,198 while the number of those recovered now stands at 179,541 .

142,029 is the number of active infected, 5,646 patients are hospitalized, 396 of them are on ventilators.

We are now in a new stage of protection against the coronavirus epidemic with the arrival of the vaccine in and the vaccination of healthcare workers. So far, three shipments of Pfizer vaccine have been received, allowing a total of 79,000 healthcare workers to be vaccinated.

In the upcoming weeks, more vaccine will arrive, and vaccination may continue at that rate, with new target groups, including residents and workers in nursing homes.

The goal remains for nurseries and schools to run smoothly and for parents with young children to be able to work.

There is also a curfew between 8pm and 5am, everyone has to get home by 8pm. One case of exemption from the curfew is work, which, however, needs to be justified.

Police strictly monitor compliance with the rules, impose fines, and close places where regulations are not followed.

Soldiers support police work in several cities across the country and relieve the burden on health workers in the hospital.

Recovered: 179,541
Number of samplings: 2,750,625
