Covid Update: 82,661 Active Cases, 65 New Deaths In Hungary
1,160 new cases were confirmed. The number of people infected with the coronavirus in Hungary now stands at 377,655 . The number of deaths stands at 13,155 while the number of those recovered now stands at 281,839.

82,661 is the number of active infected, 3,717 patients are hospitalized, 295 of them are on ventilators. 

So far, 289,042 people have been vaccinated, of which 107,592 have already received their second vaccination. The vaccination of health care workers has been completed, and 82,000 people have already used the vaccination in nursing homes and residential social institutions.

From Thursday, the oldest registered for the vaccination will follow, they will be notified by their GPs. Of all GP practices, 6 elderly people are vaccinated at hospital vaccination points, in addition, 1,080 GPs themselves can vaccinate 10-10 registered elderly people.

The Hungarian epidemiological data are favorable, thanks to the consistent control, the epidemic has been curbed, but in several European countries the number of infected people continues to grow, while the vaccine is scarce. Therefore, the government extended protection measures until March 1.

There is also a curfew between 8pm and 5am, everyone has to get home by 8pm. One case of exemption from the curfew is work, which, however, needs to be justified.

Police strictly monitor compliance with the rules, impose fines, and close places where regulations are not followed.

Soldiers support police work in several cities across the country and relieve the burden on health workers in the hospital.
