Universities Set Up New Drone Coalition In Hungary
The Hungarian Drone Coalition has been set up to develop a strategy on the implementation, manufacture and research of drones, a sector expected to grow exponentially in the coming years, the innovation and technology minister said.

The innovation and technology ministry, Széchenyi University, the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and air traffic control company HungaroControl are behind the initiative, László Palkovics said.

According to forecasts published by the European Commission, economic sectors connected to the operation of drones will be worth at least 10 billion euros, employing 100,000 people in the next twenty years, Palkovics said.

So it is in Hungary’s interest to “become part of that process and gain a prominent position” in the sector, he said.
