Enjoy Children's Day at Budapest's Pinball Museum: 1 Child Enters for Free for Every Adult Visitor
It will be 150 years this Sunday, that Montague Redgrave an American game designer bridged the gap between table Bagatelle and Pinball.

On the 30th of May 1871, he patented the first game that resembles modern pinball, calling it "Improvements in Bagatelles." His design introduced the spring-loaded plunger for launching the pinball. The innovation turned out to be a real game-changer.

The birthday of pinball also coincides with Chldren’s Day. This is why we felt to remember this huge anniversary involving the little ones, too.

We are going to celebrate 150 year-old pinball’s birthday by offering free entrance for children on the 30th of May (Sunday). On this day, one child (up to age 18) for every adult visitor may enter the premises for free.

Redgrave’s rare vintage bagatelle-pinball artifact is part of Budapest Pinball Museum’s collection.

The museum plans to continue the celebration of the game’s 150th birthday in the coming months.

A crucial part of this will be the release of the book ‘The Museum of Pinball’ in June, to be published by Budapest Pinball Museum.
