13-Year-Old People-Smuggler Caught In Hungary

Police who stopped a car with Polish license plates on the M1 motorway in the Komárom area shortly after 6.30 p.m. on Tuesday were surprised to discover that the driver was a 13-year-old Croatian boy.

Four men who were in the car declared themselves to be Syrian citizens, but could not verify their identity or legal status in Hungary.

Photographs posted on the police website indicate that two men were hiding in the trunk.

Győr-Moson-Sopron county police arrested the men and the boy.
