Organisers say: "After years of planning, our big dream, the great Hungarian celebration of jazz manouche in Budapest is coming to life. We hope that the concerts, jam sessions, interactive programs and the magnificent ambience of historic Óbuda will bring us summer joy.
Let’s spend a relaxing day together with the music of the great Django Reinhardt.
Kobuci Kert provides the beautiful setting to this special event.
The venue is situated in the courtyard (kert means garden in Hungarian) of the Zichy Palace in Óbuda, a charming old part in the western half of Budapest, north to the old Buda Castle.
Hidden under great old trees and historical walls, with a great variety of local, fresh food and drinks, most especially fröccs which is a lifesaver in the summer heat.
Jazz manouche was born in a very special community and will only be kept alive by one. Join us for the next chapter of its story!
