Hungary to Renew Roads in Tokaj Region
The government has allocated HUF 52 billion for renewing the road network in the Tokaj wine region in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county over three years, the official gazette Magyar Közlöny wrote last week.

This year HUF 18 billion, next year HUF 16.3 billion and in 2023 HUF 17.8 billion can be used for this purpose.

The government approved the HUF 150 billion Tokaj-Zemplén Region Development Plan last November and appointed commissioner György Wáberer to oversee it.

Within the programme, in addition to road renewals,HUF 22.5 billion will be used for tourism developments, HUF 13.3 billion for bicycle road construction, HUF 12.6 billion for accommodation and catering projects, HUF 10.6 billion for town rehabilitation and HUF 9.6 billion for child and youth accommodation development projects.
