House of Hungarian Music Completed
The House of Hungarian Music has been completed and will open its doors on January 22, with an interactive music history exhibition and music programmes.

The building in the City Park, part of the Liget Budapest Project, cost Ft 18.5 billion.

Ministerial commissioner for the project László Baán said the building, completed as a result of a project launched ten years ago, will be an institution unprecedented in the world and will prove that “miracles worthy of the City Park can be created in the architectural language of the 21st century”.

House of Hungarian Music chief executive András Batta said the institution will host concerts, Hungarian dance houses and community music, with an emphasis on education and music pedagogy, as well as interactive permanent and temporary exhibitions, a sound field and a creative space.
