Number of Motorway Accidents in Hungary Up Last Year
A representative survey conducted by OTP Mobil at the end of last year found that 34% of licensed respondents choose the highway if they can, and only 12% avoid it when driving, according to profitline.hu.

The survey on traffic culture also found that more than two-thirds of respondents had encountered irregular overtaking, even on the highway, while 20% reported irregular use of the stop lane.

Data from the Central Statistical Office also shows how important it is to comply with the rules.

In the first three quarters of 2021, motorway accidents increased significantly by 27%.
