Post-Cash Café Opens in Budapest
Kende Gastro, a family business, opened a café free of cash registers in Budapest at the end of last year, operated by AI technology developed by US company AiFi.

The technology relies on video surveillance of product shelves. When a customer takes a product, the system automatically charges its price to the account given by the user in a related app.

Kende Gastro has invested Ft 60 million in opening the café in the Agora Budapest office building in the 13th District.

The company is the exclusive distributor of the solution in Hungary and a distributor in the EU.

All kinds of businesses can be operated without cash registers with the AI technology, said owner Gábor Kende.

The company plans to open further shops, launch a franchise network and sell the technology to other clients.
