Mask Wearing & More Restrictions Eased from Monday in Hungary
From 7 March it will no longer be obligatory to wear a mask on public transport or in shops, the prime minister’s chief of staff said a regular press conference today.

The government will also scrap the regulations enabling companies to make vaccines mandatory for employees, Gergely Gulyás said.

The Hungarian government will phase out most of the other Covid-19 related measures currently in place, however mask restrictions will still apply to hospitals and care homes.

In this major easing of Coronavirus restrictions, you will no longer need to show an Immunity Certificate to enter key institutions or certain concerts and so on.

The government will maintain the special state of ‘health emergency’ to enable swift action should a Sixth Wave of the pandemic hit the country, Gulyás added.
