MOL Refuses to Take Over 8 Filling Stations Shut Down Due to Fuel Price Cap in Hungary
MOL announced on Monday that it will not take over the operation of eight petrol stations that have shut down operations due to supply shortages and the retail price cap.

The energy company was appointed by the Ministry of Innovation and Technology to temporarily operate these stations, which were forced to close because they did not receive fuel from MOL as the wholesaler.

MOL said it would not take over the operation of the filling stations because there are other stations within a 20-kilometre radius.

In a statement, the company stressed that it stands ready to take over closed filling stations if the supply of fuel is not guaranteed in a region, even if that means additional costs to the company.
