Medián: Opposition Can Win Big in Budapest
Medián has gauged a 14-point advantage for the opposition parties in Budapest against Fidesz.

The opposition alliance has the support of 43% of eligible voters, Fidesz 29%, the Two-Tailed Dog Party 6%, and Mi Hazánk 3%.

Another 19% of respondents do not know or do not want to say which party they would support.

Turnout could be quite high, as the poll measured an 85% willingness to vote on Sunday.

Medián said that the poll may not be interpreted at a constituency level, but based on the data it does not appear unrealistic for the opposition party alliance to win all of the city’s 18 parliamentary constituencies.

Medián surveyed 1,000 eligible voters on March 23-28.

Is Europe’s future on the ballot in Hungary? In Budapest, the US vice president is actively stumping for far-right incumbent Viktor Orban who trails in the polls ahead of Sunday’s general election. European politicians sometimes campaign for likeminded peers from neighbouring nations, but in this case, it is the United States openly taking aim at the bloc using the same talking points as Vladimir Putin’s Russia.
