Tesco Hungary Offers 5% Discount to Pensioners on Tuesdays

Tesco is offering a 5% discount on all purchases made by pensioners in its shops on Tuesdays, beginning on April 19, the British-owned retail chain announced.

Pensioners must use their Tesco Clubcard to be eligible for the discount.

The maximum discount is Ft 9,999 per purchase.

With the discount, Tesco would like to support pensioners in saving money on their daily purchases, CEO Zsolt Pálinkás declared.

He added that the new Tuesday discount can reduce spending on food, so pensions will be worth more on these days at Tesco.

The measure may affect more than 2.5 million people who can take advantage of the opportunity in the chain’s nearly 200 shops, he added.
