Utility Costs Make Smaller Flats More Appealing in Hungary
Due to the change in utility regulations, buyers in the capital have been turning to smaller apartments, which has made them more expensive, with one sqm of studio space reaching HUF 1 million, according to the latest statistics of Ingatlan.com.

In the case of prefabricated panel studios, the average price per sqm increased by 26% to HUF 957,000 in one year, while their brick counterparts increased in price by 22% to HUF 1.04 mln.

The price per sqm for panel apartments that are one category larger, 40-79 sqm, jumped by 30% to HUF 780,000.

The average price per sqm for brick buildings in this size category is HUF 1 mln.
