Bookings Up 17% for Four-Day Easter Holiday in Hungary

Reservations at commercial accommodations over the four-day Easter weekend are up 17% from last year, bookings site Szállás.hu said on Friday.
The most popular destinations for the long weekend are the spa towns of Eger, Gyula and Hajdúszoboszló.
The average room rate per guest stands at Ft 11,540, almost 19% more than a year earlier.
Bookings are on average 3.5 times higher than on a normal weekend.
Hotels that closed in the winter due to the rise in overhead costs have reopened, said Szállás.hu spokeswoman Lili Kelemen.
