Tickets Going Fast for World Athletics Champs in Budapest

More than 200,000 tickets have been sold for the World Athletics Championships due to start in Budapest on August 19, according to Balázs Németh, head of organising company Budapest 2023.

Tickets for some days have already sold out, he said on his Facebook page.

Tickets went on sale in the middle of December.

The tournament of over 2,000 athletes from more than 200 countries will be held at the new National Athletics Centre during August 19-27.

Spectators will be able to see at least three finals every day and Hungarian athletes will be in competition every day.
